Who We Are
Established in 1993, CSI has built a strong reputation as a leading manufacturer and supplier of acid- and corrosion-resistant products to the base metal refinery industry.
With over 30 years of proven experience in the electrowinning and tankhouse environment, we have proudly manufactured more than 100,000 insulator blocks and over 2,000 cells at our facility in Gauteng, South Africa.
Our extensive product range includes cathodes, anodes, cells, acid baths, insulator blocks, edge strips, demister balls, non-slip flooring solutions, walkways, stairways, and more — all designed to meet the demands of modern metal refining operations.

CSI Team
CSI is led by Gary Prothero, Founder and Chairman of the CSI Group, and Eric van Dieman, Chief Executive Officer.
With over 30 years of experience in the electrowinning industry, Gary is widely regarded as a subject matter expert in tankhouse operations and a respected leader in the field. Eric brings a wealth of corporate leadership experience at the executive level and holds a prestigious MBA from Bond University in Australia. Together, their combined expertise and complementary strengths form a dynamic leadership team, positioning CSI as a leading force in the base metals, electrowinning, and tankhouse solutions sector.
