About us
who we are
CSI was established in 1993 to manufacture and supply acid and corrosion-resistant products into the Base Metal Refinery industry. We have a proven track record of more than 30 years experience in the Electrowinning/Tank house environment. We have manufactured more than 100 000 insulator blocks and more than 2000 cells at our factory in Gauteng, South Africa. Our products range from cathodes, anodes, cells/tanks/acid baths, insulator blocks, edges trips, demister balls, flooring solutions, walkways, stairways, and many more. The landscape and industry have changed dramatically over time and CSI had to adapt and be innovative in this changing environment. Through our strategic partnerships with various technology entities globally, we have grown our bouquet of products to offer our customers the best solutions in the Electrowinning environment. We continually try to ensure innovative, fit-for-purpose, high-quality, exceptionally durable, cost-effective products to meet the specific needs and requirements of our customers

Csi is being lead by Gary Prothero, founder and chairman of Csi group and Eric van Dieman , CEO. Gary has a wealth of 30 years experience in the electrowinning environment. Gary is recognized as an industry and subject matter expert in Tankhouses. Eric van Dieman has many years of corporate experience on executive level. He also has an MBA from Bond University, Australia. The two of them together compliment each other and forms a strong dynamic team that makes CSI one of the leading companies in the Base metal, electrowinning and Tankhouse environment.
