Our polymer concrete insulator blocks — also known as spacer blocks or capping blocks — provide accurate seating and spacing of electrodes in copper, cobalt, zinc, nickel and manganese electrowinning cells. The CSI PMC Insulator Block delivers high acid resistance, reduced short circuit risk, decreased power loss and easy replacement. Electrode spacers are manufactured from polypropylene with multiple fixing points to maintain the correct anode-cathode gap. Anode insulator buttons feature male/female threaded design for a standard 22mm hole.
HDPE edge strips are available in U-shape, H-type, cross-slotted and Omega profiles to suit all standard cathode plate widths. Stainless steel (316L, 304) and titanium cathode blanks are manufactured to client specifications with robotic welding for seamless header bar joints. Lead-calcium and lead-silver anodes are rolled to reduce electrolyte contamination. Polypropylene demister balls (60-80mm) suppress acid mist in electrowinning tankhouses, protecting overhead structures and improving worker safety.
